Time to Lime

Lime? Yes, lime...when I lived in the Caribbean, liming referred to the fine art of kicking back and doing nothing or at least restricting one's activity to those we enjoy most.

I was at work a couple of weeks ago and smelled something burning...sniff... sniff...I then realized that it was my brain. I probably needed to take some time off to recoup. So I have this next week off and intend to do as little as possible. Other than a few errands involving the completion of my kitchen and updating my Etsy listings, I think I can pull it off.

On the knitting front, here's the progress on the cable lace scarf. I am very happy with the pattern, it's slightly asymmetrical (like me), and is working up fairly fast.

I am also almost finished with my "at work" socks, which refers to the socks that I work on during my lunch hour. This was my answer to what to do with all of my left over sock yarn scraps. I tried to, again, make them as asymmetrical as possible. These will match everything and nothing.

A post script to the felted clogs. I decided to re-felt them as they were a little sloppy in their fit. I'm glad that I did now they are pretty close to perfect. I'm sure with wear they will mold to my feet as the pattern states.

Everyone, have a great week and try to find some time to lime.

Sounds like a great way to spend the week-- I've got a week off in 2 weeks and I can't wait for my chance to "lime."
And yes, I totally was the hot mom-- got some free drinks on account of it too ;)
See you Tuesday, and yes, you have to come to see the Harlot with us.

Love the scarf... and the crazy, insane socks! I'm flying home next week and should probably bring some crazy socks as plane knitting. Thanks for the inspiration! Nothing puts one in a relaxed mood like knitting on a pair of socks you couldn't ever wear to work.

I love the socks. What a great way to use up the left over sock yarn. I finished my first pair of socks a few weeks ago, and have many more planned. Maybe I should start a stash of left over sock yarn so I can make something like this at some point in the future.

And those are gorgeous socks, too!

I think I need to lime a bit myself this weekend...
