Sorry that I've been MIA but, as you may have guessed by the title of my post I've had a fun filled week of service calls and technicians from Comcast coming out to my house only to blame the problem on the last guy who tried to fix my internet/cable. Yes, both problems at the same time. Supposedly a stuporvisor is going to give a follow up call to make it all better. We'll see. As of yesterday it was still glitchy and booted me off a few times. I'll give it a few days and if it happens again, heads will roll.
On the knitting front I finished the Argosy scarf and also made a Foliage hat out of the left over yarn. I wish it had a little more green in it but Noro is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get. What am I going to start next? Good question, I'm still mulling over the Mr. Greenjeans cardi and the Fiber Trends felted cap. I'll actually probably start them both, why not.
As for my social life (what there is of it) Friday was knit night out at HYAW and martini's with pals at Amici's. I ordered one of their pizzas, it was yummy. Best of all I could get it with a whole wheat crust! I spent Saturday night with Henry Rollins! Not literally, however I warned Mr. Larj that if in any way I got the chance...well....hey. It was his spoken word "Provoked" tour. He was on stage for three hours! His ability to tell a story and give personal and political insights is awesome. Well, unfortunately I never got to hook up with Henry, maybe I should make the knitted version from the 2nd Stitch and Bitch book. I'm sure that's as close as I'm going to get.
Well, I have to be off to cut the "Evil One's" hair and try to get some cooking and cleaning done. Everyone have a great week!

As long as you are not taking bites out of the Noro and then putting it back if you don't like it- my sister always did that with chocolates, she'd even wrap them up in the foil and put them back in their possie in the box!! Love the Argosy scarf. I love the colours too. I must make one for next Winter. Good luck with the stuporvisor!!!
Don't ya just love it when the cable/dsl/whatever companies have no clue how to fix their own stuff? And then blame the last guy who was there? I think at some point people need to take the responsibility for themselves and stop blaming stuff on everyone else. Of course it would be nice if the techs were all competent at their work.
The argosy looks gorgeous - amazing colorway. I have some burgandy Hempathy awaiting to become an argosy for a Christmas gift ...
I am also thinking about Mr. Greenjeans (or the Minimalist Cardigan) in slate colored cotton ease.
Thanks for your encouragement on Tilia - I finished the second sleeve this morning and am headed out to get the materials for a DIY blocking board.
Have a great week-
Comcast . . . ughhhhh I feel for you. They all say the same thing whenever I have to call them out for something . . . squirrels chewed the wires. I told them I'm sick of that line and to come up with a new one.
Beautiful scarf!
Who is the "evil one"?
The "Evil One" is my dear sweet mom.
She takes bitter to a whole new level.
Cable/phone companies drive me crazy, the lack of customer service often appalls me. Good to see you back though.
lol - you are so right about Noro.
We have a love/hate relationship with comcast around here, too. It never fails to go out when we most need it.
Oh, what a beautiful scarf - I so love the pattern as well as the colors you've been using!
And yay for Henry Rollins! I saw him quite some years ago and absolutely adored his live performance - he seems to rock big time still after all these years!
Yes, utility/appliance service people are perhaps some of the most frustrating to deal with ever. Except for landlords that won't come over and repair things. Gah!
That's a neat scarf, don't think I've seen that pattern before.
Henry Rollins--sweet!
Argosy is lovely. I better not say anything about Comcast, though, or what little internet connectivity I have will go away.
