A New Kitchen!

Ta DA!!! For the most part the kitchen is done excluding some small touch up work. Aaron did a fine job and put in a LOT of hours. My personal feeling is that the pictures really don't do it justice. Especially the antiquing on the cabinets.

I was trying to show various views from different entryways. The terra cotta colored room is our former dining room that will now be an office/library. The folding doors are new and there is another one in the living room entryway. I didn't show the landing or basement steps that were re-done but they look equally as awesome.

As for knitting...I used the left over yarn from my shawl to make a semi-matching hat. Don't you love my Monday day-off look. Rather fetching eh? Well guess I have to get off my butt and get some real work done. Everyone have a great week.

Very nice kitchen. I love the terra cota color but my hubby hates it. Nice job on the hat.

The new kitchen looks great and love the colours used in both rooms.

Nice hat too. You asked about the hat on my blog, well it is just my muse hat with a brim added ;)

Thanks for the props on my remodeling project. I was going for that Tuscan or Caribbean look, sort of old world.

There are probably a few things that I would do differently but over all I am very satisfied with the results.

Suz, the paint is called Marine Reef, it's made by Valspar and I bought it at Lowe's.

Congratulations on the new kitchen--truly a cause for celebration. I know you'll enjoy knitting in it (oh, and cooking and eating too, no doubt!)

Lovely kitchen! I am here looking at my 70s tiles trying not to be tooo jealous.

Hey, my day off look is something like yours - I love it! Today I am in slippers, trackies and my husband's tshirt, sans makeup and hair product. Glamour!!

Nice remodelling!! And your Day Off look is fine!! I think the hat tops it off rather nicely!!
Upside down Baudelaire?? Yes, I made it cuff down, but I also took the chart and turned it upside down and then reversed the lace decreases too. It is as far away from a Baudelaire as you get, I think!!!

Congratulations on the new kitchen. I think it's beautiful. We are going to finally redo ours, and finish a false start that happened sometime in the late 80's.

Cute little red hat. You look fine in it.
